Well, at least temporarily that is. Frankly, both the Ottawa Senators and the Anaheim Ducks deserve to be in their respective conference finals. Period. They are both clubs with boatloads of talent and are teams that I can actually respect (unlike some other franchises out there *cough*Detroit *cough*Vancouver).

Anaheim Ducks

To be honest, I've love to see these two teams play each other in the Stanley Cup Final. Anaheim has been there once before recently- and they've been obviously very hungry for it ever since (which is more than I can say about the Flames- I swear that if they didn't have to get on the plane to Detroit in the first round- they wouldn't have).

Ottawa Senators

Ottawa hasn't been to the Stanley Cup Final in 80 years- their last Stanley Cup appearance (and win) was back in 1927 when they swept the Boston Bruins in 4 games. This would be the first time to the 'big dance' in the franchises modern history. And considering that Canada has been represented in the last 2 Stanley Cup Finals (Calgary in 2004, Edmonton in 2006), hopes are very high for the Senators to be 'Canadas Team' for 2007 and do what neither Calgary or Edmonton was able to (but came disgustingly close in both series').

Ottawa starts their Eastern Conference Final series tomorrow night against Buffalo.
Anaheim does battle with Detroit Friday night.
