* EMERGENCY *

Yikes- it's 4:15 am- we just got the go-ahead to re-enter our apartment building. I only went to bed about an hour ago- only to be awoken by piercing alarms throughout the building.
Everyone started filing outside with their pets for an impromptu mid-night pow-wow. After several minutes of waiting outside in the cold- someone finally decided to call 911. Apparently our alarm system is not connected to the local fire hall- but to an alarm company, that obviously didn't call about the alarms going off. *rolleyes*
The Fire Department showed up and searched the place while we all waited outside. Turns out the problem is water accumulated inside a smoke detector in the hallway on the other side of the building- something they aren't able to do anything about... so there is a chance the alarm may end up going off again tonight- and tomorrow. Oh Joy!
Alarm or not- I'm tired. I'm going back to bed.
