Another Pathetic Demonstration Of The Canadian/Alberta Justice System

I read this just shortly after it happened last December from the local media (though I was in Maui at the time). In short: a bunch of bratty kids (though I'm sure they'll claim they're "big men") broke into a family's home while they were away on vacation, trashed the place, and microwaved the pet cat while they stood around and watched. I'm ashamed to live in the same province as these half-brained neanderthals.

But, true to form, our pathetic excuse for a justice system in this province/country has let them off with little more than a slap on the wrist. Two of them were sentenced to 1 year probation, and all four offenders (who "can't be named because of the young offenders act" *rolleyes*) have been banned from playing violent video games for one year.

PATHETIC!

Banning them from playing video games is a drop in the bucket. These brats deserve a taste of their own medicine! At the VERY least they deserve to be locked up for 5+ years- and I'm not talking "juvie" I'm talking full-blown prison!
But shit- in a province where even child killers and rapists get unsupervised day-passes and parole for "good behavior", why the hell would we ever think these brats would see a single second of time behind bars?

But remember this story when you hear of a serial murderer from Alberta in 15 years from now...
